This is a small travel router that connects to an ethernet port of an existing network, OR can be connected to an existing Wi-Fi network and used to create your own personal Wi-Fi network but this router uses a VPN to mask your traffic when used.
It can also be used on Visible to share a phone connection with multiple devices but you will be required to use a TTL hack to make it work.
1. Connect phone/laptop to captive login wifi.
2. Connect GL.iNet to power
3. Log in to GL.iNet web interace
4. Change GL.iNet router MAC address to the same as that of your phone/laptop.
5. Connect GL.Inet to hotel WiFi, and it'll work.
Side note, I have this and it works great, the VPN works well too.

GL.iNet tutorial details the steps here: https://docs.gl-inet.com/router/e...ve_portal/
GL iNet is a Hong Kong based company. Nope its's not China even if China thinks Hong Kong belongs to them
they have one room office in Hong Kong, China.
Do you think HK is not part of China? you got brainwashed , visit HK government website to learn the real information https://www.gov.hk
Hopefully, this will fix the issue I sometimes I have in hotels where devices constantly get disconnected especially when staying for multiple nights.
Also, Caesars properties in Vegas limit the number of devices you can connect.
Hopefully, this gets around that too.

I have not received a used or knock off items before. I order my original GLINET AR300 from aliexpress and it came in new condition. It's difficult to make a knock off of a GLINET router since the software/hardware are very specific/specialize. On the https://www.aliexpress.
I have a few issue of receiving a item not as describe or does not work and aliexpress refunded me via support. They do require you to take picture/video evidence. I would suggest using paypal as well so you'll have another form of dispute to play it extra safe.
I completely agree with you, I would purchase from amazon as well if the price was very close.
I was specifically talking about hotels where you have to reconnect devices each day that you are staying. I understand this won't help with Wi-Fi stability issues.
Background:
I been using Glinet Ar300m a (2.4GHz) router for travels and easytether when there is internet issues. In the US you can get a prior model refurbished MT-1300 for $49.99 [gl-inet.com] [gl-inet.com] on their official store front site. The phone app and web interface makes it dummy proof. I was on the fence with the refurbished MT-1300 cause I wanted a 5.0GHz for my next travel but since the aliexpress MT-3000 was $10 more for build in Adguard home, newer Wifi 6, better VPN speed, I decided it was worth it - price too good to pass up.
PS - Also 5% PayPal cashback for Chase freedom
