This is a small travel router that connects to an ethernet port of an existing network, OR can be connected to an existing Wi-Fi network and used to create your own personal Wi-Fi network but this router uses a VPN to mask your traffic when used.
It can also be used on Visible to share a phone connection with multiple devices but you will be required to use a TTL hack to make it work.
1. Connect phone/laptop to captive login wifi.
2. Connect GL.iNet to power
3. Log in to GL.iNet web interace
4. Change GL.iNet router MAC address to the same as that of your phone/laptop.
5. Connect GL.Inet to hotel WiFi, and it'll work.
Side note, I have this and it works great, the VPN works well too.

There are methods if you don't have mobile hotspot plan but it will take a little work.
Note: Easyether works on majority of openwrt router with a compatible driver here: http://www.mobile-stream.com/easy...ivers.ht
Next, I enabled the Wirguard VPN on the router using my home configuration, but can't access home network storage using Windows File Explorer, but internet works. Also, tried my Tailscale VPN account, but couldn't connect to any home network devices. Think it had something to do with the Tailscale options for accessing local or remote devices.
Overall, I'm not certain it's worth the hassle. Each device I travel with has a VPN app to tunnel home anyway.

Puli AX, Spitz AX for 5g
Mudi for 4g LTE
The Beryl is travel because the footprint is as small as a cell phone. They will all run the same software

There are RV forums that discuss this. It gets tricky because T-Mobile has the IMEI of the home router linked and also the home internet is quite de-prioritized.
Mobile hotspots are travel routers. I go out of a 4G hotspot to a travel router via USB because the wired connection is faster and the hotspot only supports 6 devices. EDIT: Also I run SmoothWan [smoothwan.com].
As I replied to someone else, you could EasyTether to Beryl (OpenWRT) [mobile-stream.com] from your 5G phone.

I travel with this and a Raspberry Pi which acts as my network wide ad blocker. If you travel to the same hotels or housing frequently, all you have to do is set up your pocket router and you're done. Then all of your devices will automatically connect to your pocket router. You can also set it up so you can connect to a VPN service. I do this and connect to a VPN that routes back to my home address so I can enjoy my favorite shows at home without getting that nagging warning about my IP address changing.
The most annoying thing is sometimes I can't get past the captive portals in hotels, even with MAC Address Cloning.
I have been using this pocket router for over 4 years now and still going strong. I highly recommend buying it.
