Which begs the question why is this almost 700 dollars?

This shouldnt even be sold new in stores anymore.

This set is from 2020. I've had the 55" version for 3 years now and it's been great. That said, lacking HDMI 2.1 is a bit frustrating as a gamer given the necessity of you want to do any of the 40Hz modes.

Crazy I bought this tv 3 years ago for $650 and they are still charging that for it. Nice tv but not sure it being that old makes it worth that price still.

Newer but not better sadly. They saved MiniLED for the QM8. If you play games and need the HDMI 2.1 then yeah go for the Q7 but for everything else the R635 is better

Previous tv was accidentally damaged, so ordered one even though this is a few yr old model.

This is the 2020 version of the TCL 6 series. Still a great value and performance TV by current standards but the updated version has better speakers, brightness, & processing. It holds its spec well.
