Speaking of shills.

So you have both now and prefer the K1 because it's faster and has better print quality? How interesting. How's the quality of multi-color/multi-material printing btw compared to the Bambu?

You're also saying that it's a superior machine because of all the tinkering that it requires? Sounds like every noob's dream. Truly a world of possibilities.
Post where the other deal is or nothing you say about this topic can be taken seriously after refusing to name where the better deal is/was. This a deal site...post deals if you know any and leave the 'girlfriend goes to another school' stuff out.

Save your money and get a Bambu printer instead. They're selling this at this price for a reason
The main issues with the K1 have been fixed. It should come with the new hotend and extruder version. With the reverse bowden not running in the cable chain it's fine. I have the K1 Max and it prints nicely. The only reason to get a Bambu is the AMS.

I have a P1P and a K1. I much prefer my K1. They've "open sourced" it in the most "I'm just complying so I don't get sued" way but now full Klipper/Fluidd access is available without needing to root the thing. Having Klipper opens an entire world of possibilities just not available on a Bambu. My K1 is faster and prints better than my P1P, it also looks better and supports way more mods and has grown an amazing community in just half a year.

If you are brand new to 3D printing, sure go ahead and get a Bambu. But if you love tinkering and getting the absolute most out of your printers, the K1 is an absolute blast. Go ahead and look up some popular Klipper macros and tell me you wouldn't die to have that functionality on your Bambu.
In other words if you're willing to waste a bunch of time for minor improvements get the K1, if you just want something to print get the X1. As an owner of a half dozen printers from different manufacturers I just want to print, I've already built and rebuilt most of my printers enough to know the best printer is one that is reliable.

X1 is crap and so is the company that produces it. Wait till it breaks you'll love the customer service and how difficult repairs are. You'll also love having your printer down for 3-4 weeks. Then theres the banding and artifacts issue that Bambu tries to say ridges on your prints is a sign of a high quality printer (you just can't make this crap up)

I know because I bought one of these over priced pieces of crap

K1 Max or bust. Seems worth the extra money for the bigger build plate and other upgrades. Also there were a few issues with the K1 that I believe are addressed in the Max. I am still leaning toward Bambu P1S but we will see what they announce on Wednesday.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS. They don't honor their return policy and provide no after-sale support. I've seen this printer on sale for $390 from elsewhere recently, so there's no rush. You've been warned.
Yep these guys are crooks. They ripped me off as well. Very poor service.

I take it you didn't have any reliability issues with it? I didn't say you won't receive your product, I said that they lie about their return policy and the warranty so if you get a broken one out of the box, like I did, you're screwed.
I ordered a drone. It was packaged well, and it arrived sooner than expected. It was a brand new product, and it worked perfectly out of the box, and 3 1/2 years later I still play with it. It is wild to imagine how you could have such a completely different experience from the same place.

They've got clear and relatively explicit instructions on what you need to do for DOA items, one of which being contact within 7 days. As for warranty, that's on the product mfg not the vendor. 🤷🏼 ♂️

I print as a hobby dude. I'm not running a farm. For me, getting things like adaptive meshing and adaptive purge running is fun, my K1 only runs a bed mesh in the area that will be used to print. I don't have to wait for the entire mesh before my prints like on my P1P. I also get to try different nozzles and hotends to see how high I can get my volumetric flow, which the all-in-one non-removable nozzle hotends of the P1P do not allow. And let's not forget my K1 has Exclude Object so I don't need to watch a big print go off the rails because one item on the plate messed up, a feature Bambu won't give to P1P and P1S owners, X1 only. I changed the start-print macro to purge my oldest son's initials on the plate instead of a line. He thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Like I have a demanding job, I have three young boys, I don't have many hobbies, so this is something I can do with my boys and tinker on and we all enjoy it. I said straight up if you're new and don't want to tinker get a Bambu. I do love my P1P. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours on it and have done one hotend replacement and I can count the failures on one hand. But that isn't interesting, it's utilitarian. We all look for different things in our purchases dude.
I have an SV-06, SV-07, K1, and P1P.. and yes, my K1 has the best print quality and is the fastest. Consistently. And I am sure I will mess it up soon because emy oldest boy and I are going to install carbon linear rods on the X, change the idlers to toothed idlers, install a Knomi on the toolhead, and add leveling screw since there is no good way to tram the K1. But if we mess it up we will fix it. I'm just glad we CAN do all those things, certainly not doing it on a Bambu.
Man, this place is toxic AF these days.
