You know most android USB C ports are 2.0 and those that are 3.0 are the same standard as the new iPhone

Also no android manufacturer ships phones with usb c 3.0 cables

But I'm sure you thought you had some sort of "gotcha" going there

Here we're talking pretty close to 10x - $4 per charge-only cable vs $30 for a 100W 40 Gbps Thunderbolt cable - which will be obsolete for top notch operation in 3 years if not sooner....
And given the thickness of those full-service cable... are we talking about more or less material eventually going to landfill?

USB-C cables only need USB 2.0 speeds (480 mbps) to be compliant. Assume a cable that doesn't advertise data transfer rate is meant for charging and not [super] speed data transfer.

The iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max is USB 3.1 from the year 2013.

This cable appears to be USB 2.0. 22-year-old standard. Just like the brand new iPhone.

USB 3 is not a speed. 480 mbps fully compliant because USB 3 describes interoperability.

When you hear garbage like "USB 3.2 2x2" it is because usage of the correct terms (40 Gbps Superspeed in this case) requires actual conformance testing that they work properly.

Yeah I assume it means it can carry up to 100w if it's plugged into a 100w source. Some cables only support lesser wattage so that when you plug it into a higher wattage source it's only capable of as much as the cord can carry.

Consider how many Apple cables I have to replace with USB-C cables, picked up 10 USB-C cables from Temu for $1.10 per cable (3' and 6')
Given they are all made in China, I rather save some money & buy directly!

Probably because of your attitude and calling people idiots may get you some downvotes.

It's known by many products especially cables to only have usb 2.0 support to cut down in cost which normal iPhone 15 users will prefer. The majority of people who buy the normal iPhone 15 will not be using it for wired data transferred. Ever since iCloud backup has been available it's been obsolete. Even if I needed to transfer files to my pc I use an app that has wifi support.

People who are more serious about data will end up getting the pro that supports usbc gen 3.2.

No need for name calling.

100w 10gbps cables are like 4x this price if not more for a single cable. How will a charger end up in a landfill due to transfer speeds? It's still usable ad a charger. You're inventing fake scenarios to win an argument you're having with yourself. It's not a good look.
