But 3 days ago, both my old phone (s20+) and tablet are having charging issues as well so I suspected it must be caused by the replacement charger I am using. Last night, shortly after plugging in my wireless charger to my original samsung fast charger using replacement usb c cable, smoke came out of the usb port of the wireless charger. I changed the usb c cable and same thing happened. Both cables I used are cheap high power USB-C cable from temu. Now after destroying 2 phones and 1 tablet, I am 100% sure it was due to the cheap cables.
The iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max is USB 3.1 from the year 2013.
This cable appears to be USB 2.0. 22-year-old standard. Just like the brand new iPhone. Cutting edge stuff there!

Letting go of proprietary port is one of the biggest Apple improvements in decades!
"Can't innovate anymore, my ASS!!"
The Pro is their flagship phone - their "best ever" - and instead they switched to a protocol from 10+ years ago? How does that make sense?
I waited for the 15 because they were moving to USB C. In my worst nightmare, I didn't expect to drop $800 to $1000 in 2023 on a port with 2013 and 2003 speeds.
Has anyone tested these cables to see if they really can match their 100W spec?
