OP didn't mention RAM type. I think it's DDR4. Mediocre display. Also no thunderbolt support is a big turn off.

RAM is indeed DDR4... however, unlike many DDR5 laptops, the RAM in this laptop is upgradeable.

Supports Thunderbolt 3, not 4 though. At least per CR's write up about the model # mentioned from Best Buy's description:

I believe that no HP Victus model has any thunderbolt port. This is their budget gaming brand replacing the pavilion gaming series

Yes, and thats the reason why i am getting this over the lenovo ideapad 3 gaming. The lenovo only have hdmi2 with the usbc being data only. I need a cheap laptop with 3050 and two video output

the plus for the lenovo is that it has a slightly faster 3050ti but only have 4gb video ram.
the other plus for the lenovo is that it has zyzen cpu with all cores being the same so you can also install win10. you kinda have to use win11 with the 13th gen intel with p and e core if you want the best multicore performance

This HP also has a better display than the lenovo

I bought one 2 months ago. Great entry level laptop with a dedicated GPU. I use it to play Genshin Impact and do some basic video editing for the family. Works well. Only thing that I need to complain about are the speakers, they are not very loud. Haven't come around to add another 8gb Ram stick but that should be an easy performance upgrade for not a lot of money.

No. it only support displayport. current usb-c standard doesnt support enough power for this laptop right now anyway.
