I believe it's a spec error on HP side. Victus 15 has Samsung 8GB DDR5 ram. If you check the 16gb models it correctly lists 2x8gb ddr5. The 1x8gb models like this have a second slot available for the second ddr5 stick.

It's not a Spec error. The problem is this laptop is not going to benefit from DDR5 as everything else is so low end and people making those comments have no concept of bottlenecks.

I had this laptop for about a week, and it is pretty good if you're only doing one thing at a time. If you want to Multitask, upgrading RAM and the HDD did very little to improve the performance.

Oh and this is a Best Buy Special, that's why it is different from what you find on the HP page for RAM Specs.

Stop watching tech YouTube? I'm sure he probably isn't even doing that. Because even they state that there's practically no difference between DDR4 and DDR5 in real life performance and is only on paper.
He just thinks that because 5 comes after 4 so DDR5 must be world and beyond. Lol
