This monitor stopped working after 4 months. (No video signal using USB C or HDMI) Tried it on windows pc, mac, and various laptops. It was returned to LG for repair. After 3 weeks came back, It worked for another 5 months and stopped working. I am within 1 year warranty. Just called LG, they will not issue a refund. I don't want to waste another month waiting for this monitor to possibly be repaired. Poor quality and customer service.
Upon the second repair, I received the unit back from LG, huge black vertical line down the middle. I am trying to get a refund on this monitor and LG is dragging their feet.
I always heard you shouldn't use a TV as a monitor since it is a TV. But as long as the TV has that setting for you to change the text to not make it blurry... anyone know the name of it? Then you could use a TV as a monitor?
So wouldn't the only difference between a 43' 4k tv compared to a 43' 4k monitor is you power it on with a remote or something?

One thing to note when using a TV is that it will not automatically wake up from sleep if you have the monitor set turn off after inactivity. The better TVs have wake on lan and you can script up a solution, otherwise you have to hit the power button every time you sit down.
Some people may prefer usb-c and DP ports on a real monitor but in my experience you don't lose anything with 4k 4:4:4 HDMI adapters.
The other problem with most TVs is the glossy screen, I'm considering buying a 43" monitor just for a non-glare screen. But if you let dust accumulate over time you can get a non-glare coating for free, just don't ever touch it or you'll notice the spot and have to clean the whole thing!
If you want 100% scaling where you're actually using the resolution that you're paying for to it's fullest extent, get this size. If you use 150% scaling, just buy a 1440p monitor of the same size and use 100% scaling and things will be close to the same size.

It's a shame too as I picked up the 43" Hisense for a little under $200 and resolution and text size seemed fine to me at 100% scaling. I even scaled to 125% and the text stil looked very crisp. Just curious if you've ever noticed this so called swirling or moire effect on your Hisesnse panel?
