The circular saw is the only tool I have from Ryobi that I am not actually a fan of. Blade tends to get stuck often in the middle of a cut. Frustrating. I tend to favor the plug in saws if I had a longer cut to make. For short cuts on 2x4 or something similar, Ryobi is fine.

I think it's really dependent on how much you use them. I've had Ryobi has my main line and do pretty much everything DYI. I've yet to be unhappy. That said, I've only seen pros use Milwaukee or Dewalt. I don't know how much beating Ryobi can take in comparison.

Yes, so you can't return the tool and profit
you can return either. the question of 'profit' depends on your personal circumstances.

you can "profit" - just depends. sure, you can't return the $129 tool and get $129 back. but if you return the $56 tool, you get 2 batteries and a charger for $40whatever...

Which is a good deal.

If buying just for the batteries, be sure to select the most expensive tool so the proration works in your favor.

Although the cordless blower is not available, I've underestimated the convenience of not having to unroll an electrical extension cable to plug in my corded blower.

Oh hell yeah! Returned the batteries and kept my brushless angle grinder for $50 something while DTO is still selling it for $129, which btw never goes on sale.

Same. Unrolling the cord kept me from using the blower as much as I would have, otherwise.

I recommend the Ryobi 40V blowers if you need higher velocity air or CFM. The 18V only go up to 115mph / 350 CFM, though some models have higher speed / lower CFM or vice versa. The 40V blowers go up to 190 mph and 750 CFM.

I'm just picky with them because I know how to make long and very precise cuts and have a bit of a collection of corded/cordless saws from various manufacturers. If you're just looking for something to straight-cut some two-by lumber with or to rough-rip some ply without too much concern for dust collection and don't push it too hard it'll be fine.
Is your experience with the brushes or brushless version? And what size? I've used my friend's brushed 5 1/2" saw and honestly, that saw just ain't cuttin it. Literally. Stops in the middle of a cut if you push it just a hair too fast, like you mentioned. I'm hoping the 6 1/2" brushless version is better because I need a cordless circ saw and I'm already married into the Ryobi ecosystem (well also DeWalt and Bauer but they're a bit too expensive and cheap, respectively, for my liking) Anyway I'd like some input from anybody that's used both brushed and brushless versions before I pull the trigger on this deal.

Same. Lady wants a Dyson (because her friends have them) but I already have dozens of Ryobi tools and the new brushless vac was awesome when I tested my friend's.
