Does it work for Costco visa? That's my main dining card and this would be a great reason to dine out more.

Rather have them give us the cash back bonus so we can eat out more often to support local businesses

Thanks, OP. Enrolled our Costco cards (the SD link hung forever so just typed in the URL). We don't eat out much, but if we happen to between now and 12/1, good to benefit a good charity. C'mon, folks, it costs, let's see, nothing to sign up.

So they don't actually buy the food or feed the kids, but it seems that they are paid advocates for the existing payment and distribution system.

At No Kid Hungry, we say that $1 can help provide 10 meals for kids. Our donors sometimes ask: How is this possible?
It's not because we get a bulk discount on food. In fact, we don't buy food at all. Because lack of food isn't the problem in the United States. The problem is ensuring that children have reliable access to the food they need.

No Kid Hungry does that by supporting school and community meals programs, providing grants to help people get the equipment they need to feed kids and advocating for better laws and policies.
EDIT: I am not accusing them of anything wrong, but... Oh, well.
EDIT: I do throw stones at Citi for putting a limit on how much they will allow their users to pass on to the charity. I guess when the limit is reached, Citi will just put the rest in their pocket?! I remember Yoplait did this stunt when they said they would contribute (some cents) to (some cause) for every sale. Except that they capped the amount to a relatively modest figure. I guess they just put the rest in their pocket. Bastards.

Yeah, I totally get it it costs nothing to enroll (obviously bank is going to mine that data and mark your account as "interested in charity" for future marketing) and I support the cause. But goddammit Citi, you are a mega corporation, you don't need us to "help" with donation. Just donate the money!
