What's a PECRON power station. I'm new to this. I just vested in the Ego tool system and have two batteries already so i may jump on this. I've seen it in person and the only thing i don't like is you have to use two hand and hunch over to pick it up and move around. I wish there was some sort of middle strap that you can just pick it up with just one hand for easier mobility or maybe all of these large power station are like that.

This comes with the "batteries " has way more connection options is 10lbs lighter l, a single handle etc. EGO batteries are so expensive that I wouldn't want to exhaust them for something like this that can be easily substituted. Though, I'd guess the unit ego is built better and more reliable but that's a tough sell given the pro/cos.

For many, the smaller $150 EGO 400-Watt Portable Power Station (pure sine wave) model will do what they need. It's 400W continuous power with 800W peak power. https://www.lowes.com/pd/EGO/5013814873

Consider how frequent you have power outages, the duration of the typical outage, and how long your batteries will last powering your essentials (fridge, landline, LED lamp). I have lived in a remote area where power outages were common. We used UPS units for essential items (pellet stove), battery operated units like this for the first 1-2 hours for things like a fridge, landline (no cell service in our area), and maybe one LED lamp. If the power outage would be 4 to 48 hours, we would switch to a Champion 3,000 watt inverter gas-powered generator. After a certain number of hours, you'll have to switch to a gas powered generator. Even the small 1,000 watt inverter generators are quiet and can handle quite a bit. I recommend inverter generators because they are so good at conserving fuel. We did not run the generator through the night--that's generally not needed. Your fridge will be fine for 8 hours if you do not open the door.
