I bought this TV two years ago for $1800. It is not quite the OLED, but most of the time, it would be hard to tell the difference. This is a very good deal.

The 77" oled would most likely be double the price.

Definitely not for x90k which is sony lowest end product line. Actually rtings rates x90k sports/motion only 7.6, one of lowest score in 75 class.
Good call. I'd still take a Sony LCD over a Hisense any day of the week.

I bought this TV last year from walmart. I highly suggest people to go review that thread before buying.

1. The delivery for the TV is pure trash.
2. Plug in and inspect the tv right away. Many of us from the previous deal received tv's w/ the DSE.
3. The exchange process was a total nightmare. You can't simply take this back to the store. You have to wait for the freight carrier to pick up and deliver back to a walmart center. Then you have to wait for the defective tv to be inspected and the shipment of the exchange to be approved. In our case, we had to wait a bit longer b/c the replacement tv was oos.

Sony's mid and low end TVs are actually rebranded TCL...good for you to choose TCL over Hisense.

You're confusing x90k with x80k?

Funny you leave out the Samsung QLEDs in your comparison.
Because I don't like my TVs coming in bent

Do you have a source to back your claim up on having the highest failure rate?
Consumer report: Hisense was rated "fair" with a 20% failure rate within 5 years and was removed from their recommended list along with Vizio.

If you follow any Audio/Video forums you'll see a daily trend of "Is my Hisense TV supposed to look like this". This is why you don't blindly trust RTINGS, because they don't look at reliability

This, I'd take Sony's lowest end over Hisense high tier any day. At least the Sony will still be working next year

This seems like a decent deal. I managed to get the 85" version with 5 yr warranty for $1250 manager special at costco this weekend. Not sure if that's a good deal but better than nothing for now. Really waiting for that qd-oled deal.
