With usb-c, why are they worth the upgrade vs. sticking with the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen? I know usb-c is the standard and lightning is out of date, but my 2nd Gen. AirPods Pro charge quite fast with a good usb-c to lightning cable and good usb-c charger.

Same here I had the airpods with the sound issue. I ended up just disabling NC. Just 3 months outside replacement window.

You can replace an individual AirPod for far cheaper than this if you're otherwise happy. I don't see a lot of reason for the upgrade here

Cancelled my Best Buy order. Have a lot of Amazon gift card balance to use up. Price history shows the Pros are unlikely to drop further even for Black Friday and if they do, only to $180 at most. This is a preorder sale so you likely only have another day to take advantage. These tiny batteries have a short life so use them sparingly to prolong them. Use wired or non-Pros when you don't need NC.

Not worth the upgrade if you have the APP2. The only difference here is the USB-C and the upgraded internals to support lossless audio with the Vision Pro.

It's going to be a couple of years before the mainstream catches onto the Vision Pro so by the time your APP2 batteries are running low, there should be a gen 3 that you can pick up then.

I will have to contact them for possible exception. I have two pairs of pros that developed that issue. I chalked it up to that they just sucked (never heard of the recall). I've just been using gen 3's and leave my pros in the drawer. Thanks for a ray of hope.
