Just adding some of the fine print. Looks like it is a 36 month lock unless you pay it off early. The 36 month extends if you upgrade to a new phone, which is available every 12 months.

Seems like the phone price is spread over the 36 payments to keep you as locked in as possible to that 3 year contract.

Can anyone speak to the infinite data? Does this mean data won't ever be throttled?

Not sure what is the deal here. You are still paying for the plan and phone each at their normal price. You are just financing the phone via Boost Mobile for no reason.

I signed up on Friday. Interested to see how the network is. I'm on TMO now and it stinks. Sounds like you'll either get put on AT&T or T-Mobile depending on your area? Or other variables. Not sure how you can tell what network your on. It also sounds like in the future, they are working on being able to bounce back and forth between TMO, AT&T, or Dish's new network.

As for the other member saying there's no deal, that's not really true. The plans are $25, $50, and $60. $25 is essentially BYOD. $50 gets you Mex & Canada call text and some international, along with a "free" iPhone but you have to trade in a qualifying phone. $60 gets you the $50 plan with no requirement to trade in for the free 15 and they claim you can trade in for the new phone every year (we'll see if that holds to be true/continues at the same price). It's worth noting that NONE of the plans include hotspot, which is kind of a bummer.

The only thing I don't like is the 36 month installment contract. Yes, you can just pay the phone balance if you want to leave, so it's a moot point, but you lose the monthly credit for the free phone if you payoff/cancel (same as literally every other major carrier offer).

I will say I'm annoyed that at 8:10am-ish when preorders launched, they only had iPhone 15 Pro in black. About a half hour after preorders started they added the pro max and all the pro colors. I was going to try and switch, but I don't want to risk losing my spot as probably one of the first Boost preorders.

If I hate the service, I'll probably use the T-Mobile switcher offers to go back to T-Mobile and payoff the phone if needed.

Hard to say. If you check the plans on their regular site (boostmobile.com) they do offer tethering for some of their plans (Unlimited Plus 30GB/mo., Unlimited 12GB/mo.). It's unclear if, "Infinite Unlimited Plus" is the same plan as "Unlimited Plus" with a phone financing contract attached or a different plan with different terms and conditions.

I don't know why they would change the terms and conditions but use a very similar name but they seem to like using the term, "unlimited" for naming their plans. They have a $40/mo., "Unlimited" plan with tethering and a $25/mo.,"Unlimited" plan without tethering - both plans are named, "Unlimited". Oddly enough, if you prepay a year in advance ($300) you can get the $40/mo. plan with tethering for only $25/mo. It's worth a call to their customer service to find out if you're interested in the deal though.

You're referring to Boost mobile though, right? Boost Mobile is considered their prepaid brand/company. Boost Infinite appears to stand on its own as a postpaid carrier (no buying a year of service option it seems).

How is this sustainable? New iPhone every year, at $720 a year… I use mint mobile which I believe it is the same network at mint. And Mint was bought by T-Mobile. Going from ~$30 a month to $60 a month when no trade in or down payment is required seems too good to be true… right? As much as I want the purple 14 pro, why shouldn't I go with the this instead? I am paid through December, so I would prefer to wait until then, but not sure how long this will last.

Do you own the iPhone after 1 year?

Also are there additional taxes in the $60

The phone is paid off after 36 months of payment. So you would only own it if you declined the new iPhone for 2 years in a row (and stuck with the payments). For the first month's payment, you pay the taxes on the full device cost up front.

Boost uses ATT, T-Mo and Dish network. It's essentially just paying full price for the phone over 3 years. Their normal price is $25 a month...$35x36 is $1260.

So I guess it's cool you can turn it in each year for a new one.... otherwise it's not much of a deal really.

Thanks. It still seems like they won't make a profit from this. I will give it a few months and see if it's still appealing.

What if my iPhone is damaged?
To be eligible for the latest iPhone model, you're responsible for making sure the iPhone you ship to use is in good working order. If there's damage to your iPhone, you'll have to pay the full retail price. We strongly recommend getting Boost Protect With AppleCare Services at checkout as it covers you in the event of phone loss, theft, accidental damage and out-of-warranty mechanical or electrical breakdown.

You don't want to put yourself at risk and miss out on your free iPhone upgrade because of a cracked phone. Keep in mind, upgrading to the latest iPhone every year isn't required. If your iPhone is damaged and you aren't covered by insurance, you can continue to use that iPhone for the full 36-month lease or until it's paid off. After that, you're free to upgrade to the latest model with no trade-in required.
