If you are buying oled TVs and relying on built in speakers, you should probably have your head examined.

77" A80K for 1499 is a crazy price. And there is not much difference from the A80L that just came out

Got the White Marsh one for $1350 + tax (floor model). My first slick deal.
Lucky, I called today and they were oos none near by for that price. All my local stores have it for 2499.97 and 2 left plus display. I hope they follow the same or wait until LG C3 lowers in price

The Sony OLEDs use the screen as an actuator. The atmos surround effect is quite impressive for a TV. I added a subwoofer via TOS for more lows, but the surround effects have been good as a soundbar surround effects.
I'm looking to add a subwoofer to my a80j
Would you share which one works with it ?

Inglewood, CA $2499 and they have several of them. Manager won't budge on price.

The Sony doesn't have a RCA audio out...only a Toslink output. And subwoofers only input via RCA or speaker wire.
I bought a Digital to Analog converter from Monoprice for $13. [monoprice.com]

You need a good long TOSlink optical cable; 35 foot $10 at Monoprice [monoprice.com]. I recommend 35ft just so you can hide the sub basically anywhere in the room.

Then use RCA wire that comes with the subwoofer to connect the converter to the sub. I got an active low profile 12" sub from Monoprice [monoprice.com] as well on sale for around $124 when it was on sale a couple of weeks ago.

Now, the only remaining issue is that the TV volume control doesn't adjust the Toslink output volume to make sub go up or down in volume to match, since TV's toslink is just sending out a set signal...so I need to see if I can find a workaround. Right now, I just watch it a fixed volume level since it's an extra tv room, so if I want it louder, I could just manually adjust the sub itself. I really don't want a soundbar because the TV's atmos effect works very well in this 15x15 room, but if it's your primary TV, then this TOS workaround may not be ideal...then a soundbar or surround speakers with AVR may be necessary.

I bought it on a prior deal and super happy with it so far

No, but some of the LG OLED'S have a five-year panel warranty. Just saying……. I have a 77 inch G3.

I got the A80K but 55 inches (fit perfectly in my dorm) for 870 several weeks ago after they had it on sale too.
But what I did was I price match the TV from Costco to Bestbuy. I tried more than 30 times to talk to the representative to get me price matched through online chat but didn't work until I decided to go to the store and the employee just go ahead and gave me one. Try it. Who knows it works for you guys!

Not in Dfw at that price. They said Kansas has one at this price.
Thanks. I have never seen any of these deals at the Plano/Rockwall locations but I'm actually going to Costco today when they open and kinda had hope.
