If you are buying oled TVs and relying on built in speakers, you should probably have your head examined.

77" A80K for 1499 is a crazy price. And there is not much difference from the A80L that just came out

Looking for recommendations on the 10 movie credits as well. I'm leaning towards the 3 Spider-verse movies, but the other 7 credits are up in the air.

Thank you SD!

Drove 5 hours round trip to a Costco yesterday morning. I called on the way there and they had 4 in stock. I asked if they could hold one for me and they refused.

Imagine my irritation when I get there and I find two set aside because they're "accounted for". Regardless, managed to grab the last NIB one for $1500.

They still had a floor model as of yesterday afternoon, which they were willing to let go for under $1500. Costco was Ukiah, CA.

Redding, CA also had around 11 of these for $1700 when i called Friday evening btw.
Nice!
How did you carry the tv for 5 hrs?

Sony TVs are very hard to use without a remote.
Say what? I just use the Google home app half the time, and don't use the remote. It works just fine

The only area where the LG C series beats the SONY is in gaming. In terms of picture quality, the SONY beats the LG due to the better processor which handles up-scaling/motion handling/etc. much better than the LG. If gaming is your priority, get the LG. For movies, definitely go with the SONY.
This is totally right especially starting with the Sony A80J new processor over the LG C1 two years ago. LG is better for gaming, especially hard core gaming due to more HDMI 2.1 inputs and gaming features.. Watching TV or movies, Sony better due to its processing which affects everything with picture quality, not just upscaling.

Had to borrow a family members SUV. Even with all the seats folded down, front seats needed to be pushed up all the way. The wife and I were pretzeled against the dash for the drive back.

Worth it though. TV is incredible.

Got the display model in Alhambra. Having issues with eArc hdmi with periodic audio drops. Not sure how warranty claims work. Would a repair man come over or do I have to bring it to an authorized repair center?

Might try a different hdmi cable, worth a shot. I thought I was having an issue with my 77 A80K and Ht5000 soundbar. Changed out the cable and it works flawlessly
