Careful with this seller, I bought one, its DOA. Will not turn on at all. It seems any kind of replacement or support is not going to happen, so I'm looking at $500 extra bucks at a local bike shop to make it work. Just doubled the cost of the bike basically.

File a PayPal dispute. I sent them Message and they are out on Chinese holiday so I'm waiting. If I don't get my issue resolved I will file

When you insert the key and turn it to the left, does the computer still not turn on? When you charge the battery, does the light stay red, or does it ever turn green?

I agree you should involve PayPal if they are not responding, and if what I mentioned doesn't help...

My bike can only be fully charged to 4 bars and never get past 4 bars. It also drains the battery so quick that it drops to 2 bars after 20 minutes driving. Anyone else have the same issue?

Be careful if you use any cash back site, they won't give any credit, and never respond to the query.

Looks like the controller limits the motor power to 500W

Hydraulic brakes are under $50 on Amazon and super easy to install. I don't feel like this bike needs them, however they do make braking easier. You have to think about how and where you ride. Where I ride this bike (trails and small cities) I'm not doing a lot of panic braking. If you ride big cities your needs may be different.

As for carrying a rider I would not recommend that with this bike. There are better bikes out there that are purpose-built for this. They do cost considerably more…..well over $1,200. In my opinion to carry a rider you need a minimum of:

- 1000w motor with 85nm of torque to be able to carry rider plus passenger
- 48v/20a battery or better to ensure you have range
- Integrated frame rack and not a bolt-on for structural integrity
- Hydraulic brakes to stop what will likely be close to 300# of people + 75# bike.

Letric has a great one, but again, double the price of this bike.
Disagree. I'm only alive because of the hydraulic breaks on my Citibike.

I was riding around Central Park on a downhill and saw a massive pothole. Barely had enough time to react. The bike had hydraulics (it was one of those really heavy silver ones) and even though it tipped over, I only ended up with a wrist fracture.

I was probably going a little over 20mph, and only was ok with going so fast because it was one of those bikes with hydraulics.@

If you're gonna go fast, you need it for safety. Otherwise, stick with 18mph or less. Don't get a 500W model either because it's too tempting.
