The batteries in all these power banks are 3.7V, but USB charging occurs at 5V. This means that every 10000 mAh battery pack has a usable maximum of 7400 mAh (10000 / 5 * 3.7). Then charging inherently incurs efficiency losses – about 20% on average – meaning you can expect the final (or "rated") capacity of pretty much all 10000 mAh battery packs to be around 5920 mAh (7400 * 80%) – though some are more or less efficient than others.

Not entirely sure that pertains to what you were seeing, but hopefully it helps!
I only got 26.55 Wh out of this in my initial test ([email protected] discharge, which, uh, is also less than the rated 20W; it can however do [email protected]).

It's labeled for ≥ 75% efficiency and ≥ 37 Wh, so it's either < 72% efficiency or < 37 Wh, either of which violates the text on the unit itself. I'm charging it back up now to see if we can wheedle out which it is, but this isn't a great first impression and I'm probably returning it.

edit: charging it back up at 5V@2A cost 39.3 Wh. I got 31.6 Wh discharging at [email protected]. So it seems like the efficiency is just bad.

edit 2025-03-01: this thing is just trash now. I don't know why I didn't return it. I can barely get half of these numbers out of it now.

Does anyone know if it's 10000mAh? I purchased an Anker 10000 which Mr. Bezos' portal says to be of 10000mAh, but the battery itself has a tiny mention of 6000mAh

When I say they're similar they are decent. This will probably last several years and do a good job for the cheap price.

I have this. It works great. Charges my iPhones quickly. We also have a desktop charger from them. It works well. The desktop charger we bought for my sister in law is a winner, too.

And it was Aukey first, then Anker, now Baseus. In their defence, their 100w chargers are solid, especially their desktop versions. But that's how advertisements work.
that's not how advertisement works

it LEGALLY has to be shown as an advertisement if it is one... and they definitely feel like them

Got this on the previous deal back in July, and I like it. It works as expected, charging Galaxy S21 with a reasonable speed. However, the cable was very short not 30cm.

I would not compare this brand with other no names. Better buy Baseus, it's a better chinese company with a great customer service
Except I got a $20 gc offer for a rating/review (they accept rating only with no review) for one I paid less than $20 for, guess those no name ones want to build up so I ended up making money.

I don't get this site anymore. If you know its promoted just ignore it...people are outraged because this site is trying to make money with promotions but these are the same people that will go to a restaurant "reviewed" by some instagram "foodie."
Chinese companies paying for reviews is nothing new. Doesn't mean its crap.
