Actually the opposite might be true. Fender had over a half million orders cancelled recently. Everyone bought guitars during lockdown and now everyone is back to work and not buying them anymore.

Might be seeing guitar prices plummet in the coming months.

Mine arrived Saturday (shipped from Guitar Center), and I returned to store today. It was clearly an open box item, not brand new: no anti-smudge plastic on the pickguard, visible wear on the strings up near the nut where people finger open chords. And you know how Fenders and Squiers usually come in a box within a box? This one was in half a box inside a box. I felt taken. I called Musician's Friend yesterday, and the guy basically told me that's what I should expect. No, actually, I expect more. If it's brand new, I want to be the first one to play it. That's how it works.

These are ANNIVERSARY MODELS!!!!!! They were only produced through December of 2022. They are trying to get rid of the ones that didn't sell. Other models are already out of stock. Fender and Squier are NOT going to reduce their prices. This is a one-time thing related to these 2022 Anniversary models ONLY!!!!

People have been saying this for years, but the prices just keep going up every year. Manufacturers may offer attractive deals here and there, but prices will not plummet.

Indonesia.
Bought the Strat and the Tele. I think they are better than the CVs. Necks are very good and close to MiM quality. Thinking about upgrading some of the electronics.

I was able to just sign in and then I see the discount in my cart.

Having a hard time not getting this.

Bought the seafoam green one a few weeks ago and its changed my mind about squiers.

I've owned classic vibe and "indonesia made squier deluxe"

the deluxe is the best strat you can get for the money (unless you happen to be a luthier etc etc)

Lol. That's not going to happen. Guitar prices just keep climbing. They are absolutely not going to plummet.
