T-Mobile was better. 250 port in credit + 150 shop card. Up to 1000 for trade in.

Did they end their partnership with Tmo in favor of Verizon?

Every deal i've seen this week has been for ATT and VZW, no matter what the store.

This only works on their pricier plans btw. If you have the Verizon plans that are not "Unlimited" then you get way less trade in unfortunately. I'm on a $30/mo plan and my trade in for my iphone XR is not $1000.
