Looks like rep is wrong.
Edit: talk to another store and that rep told me any iphone 3 or higher has same tradein value. And he said I can provide IMEI later online once I am ready to ship the phone but it has to be within 30 days after I ordered iphone15.
I agree tradein values differ between new lines and existing lines.
The Costco rep originally did not do it and showed a $210 trade-in value for my wife's iPhone 12 and insisted the $830 was only for new plans. But, I looked on his screen and saw he didn't click on the "see available offers" (or something like that) and when we clicked on it, there were 4 offers available, including the $830 trade-in credit one. Once he applied that, it worked like a charm.
Something to be aware of!
For two, you need to look up multi-line discounts, or "regressive pricing" and try to understand that. A single line on any wireless plan will ALWAYS be a rip-off. I have 5 on my plan, so i'm part of the highest discount they offer for multi-line plans.

What would 4 lines of data realistically cost per month ? I do have costco membership...so I guess I could potentially be porting in 4 new phones. If unlimited data for 4 lines is only 25 a month...I may reconsider Verizon.

Make sure you don't have to pay any penalty leaving Xfinity.

You pay $60/mo for shared data and probably pay $15/gig for every overage over 10gb. That's still half xfinity before overages.
Now, if you happen to leave xfinity, you have to leave their mobile service too. Factor that into your decision.

I never like Xfinity due to their billing and pricing once 12 month period expires. They tried to sell me Mobile services twice and I just flatly refused it. Very hard to deal with their customer service.
