Oh well, got an s23 on unlimited welcome via the targeted offer, which is probably worth giving up the $270 byod.
That would have made all the 3 year contract whiners happy too, because you can just walk away from a byod credit with no real penalty. You just lose the rest of the prorated credit but don't need to pay off a phone.

There is no comment at all about a trade-in. That has been mentioned throughout this thread mostly b/c it is part of the promo if you wanted a iPhone 15. For those of us who got the iPhone 14 series for free over 36 months, there was no trade required, so it appears we are also eligible.
