Thank you for this. Didn't realize there were two variants of this. Quite confusing because the card itself looks exactly the same. You would have to read the fine print to differentiatethem.

Just got this 512Gb card 1h ago. Card itself does not have any text on back as others do and does not open in laptop (cannot validate if real). Sad as this is second sd card ordered in last week which seems to be fake ...

I ended up buying the faster version directly from Samsung with the reader for $39.99 where I was able to apply $2 credit from the recent Classic 6 watch purchase and also able to get 4% statement credit with Capital One link.

I have no reservations with buying ship and sold by amazon. I have never been burned and I have bought more micro sd cards from amazon than I can count. Shipped and sold by amazon would indicate to me that they got these directory from the vendor vs a 3rd party seller. I am good with this deal as opposed to the faster card. I typically only write to SD cards a hand full of times so I am not terribly concerned with the cards going bad. But I understand all too well the pain of loosing data but knock on wood I have only had data loss with mechanical drives.

I've read that third party stock often gets mixed with Amazon's own stock. Several claims including reviews seem to indicate even "shipped and sold from Amazon" has shipped out fake cards.

Amazon comingles inventory from all sellers when shipped by Amazon. So you're playing the lottery even when buying directly from Amazon. You've been lucky so far and you have the return window if you do get a bad one. So the risk may be low, but for me, I'm not going to give them the sale until they get serious about fixing this issue.

So.... interestingly the A2 cards all say that those speeds were achieved using the manufacturer provided adapters. Since this is still limited to the UHS-I interface, the higher speeds might mean a more consistent max speed but little else.

though UHS-II and UHS-III are defined I can't find any major manufacturer, except Lexar, that has put out a UHS-II SD card. I'd guess that's because end device manufacturers haven't started putting in UHS-II readers in their devices yet.

Honest Question: Why does it say 160/120 in the Features tab then? Best Buy typo?

UPDATE: Ok, you were 100% correct, I just picked it up from Best Buy and it was the new faster models like you said. They just didn't update their Features tab on the webpage. Thx 4 the tip.
