Twitter Rep told me that Go5G Plus would cost $5 more per month per paid line, so +$20/mo over what I pay now (which I think is $128/mo for service plan). So an extra $240 per year.
As far as I can see, the benefits I would get are:
1) 50GB of hotspot instead of 40GB (useful as I sometimes do run out on two lines)
2) maintain the ability to upgrade with the best trade in deals every 2 years on 9 lines.
Assuming we upgrade most of those lines regularly, getting the best promo trade in credits, that seems maybe not bad?
Very willing to be talked down from the ledge here. Am I crazy to consider changing?
I was on the One plan and switched to the Go5G Plus plan. My free lines transferred over and it cost me about $35 more a month. I was paying extra for Netflix which is now free and also get Apple TV+ for free now along with some other perks.
I switched because I needed 4 new phones so while I'm paying about $720 more over the next 24 months, I'm getting about $3200 in value for new phones, so definitely worth it in my situation. Being able to upgrade every 2 years is another nice perk that I'll definitely take advantage of.

Not sure if I can even combine the iPhone 15 savings if I convert my plan, but that would be an added bonus if possible

As I see the deals, I am clear on the switch promo that T mobile will pay me $650 per line .
However, I am not able to understand the new Iphone offer. It looks like I have to trade-in in order to get any new Iphone offer? is my understanding correct. I want to keep my current phones.

I changed mine as of today with the new bill cycle. I have same as you, with 5 free lines in first 9 on Magenta Max, with a total of 6 free lines out of 12. My bill increased $19/month. I had upgraded to Magenta Max only a year back for high trade-in values. Sucks to have to change again.
How much do you pay now for 9-lines with Insider $88 or $128? That help identify if you have old or new Insider.
For Go5G Plus, it would be $99 (Old) or $144 (New) after Insider discount. Check out the sub-Reddit for more details.

T mobile constantly changes their "best plan". They went from Simple choice, to One, to magenta and now go5G.
They told me last year that magenta max would get the best trade in value vs legacy plan.
Now its go5g.
If you add that $20/ month for go5G, next year it'd be something else.
Stay with legacy plans, you save more per month.
