legacy plan does not have all the freebies like cheap home 5g internet and netflix. those are like half of the cost right there
I have an old plan that pays for Netflix. Don't need the 5G. Paying 120$ for 2 fully unlimited lines and hotspot.

Is MINT mobile (now owned by TMOBILE) a better brand to be with? Anyone with thoughts? They seem to have much cheaper plans for no frills (Netflix etc) service. The only thing I see missing is the in flight internet with Delta

There's no phone promo big enough to justify changing a legacy Tmobile plan to Go5G.
100% this. I still have my T-Mobile One Plus for $240 for 7 lines, 1 watch and upgraded Netflix from 4.5 years ago.

5g? No thanks. Not worth changing our plan for it imo...

The new plan is about 50% more in monthly price… (I have 4 lines on Max plan, and pay about 183, new plan will cost 283)
The only advantage is that you get "upgrade ready every year". -whatever that actually means I don't know…
But for paying extra $1200 a year, it's like paying for a new iPhone 15 every 8 months… so when they say upgrade ready, yeah, you already paid for that upgrade

I have 2 lines legacy unlimited kickstart from Sprint $15/month each and 1 free BYOD line. Total bill for 3 unlimited lines is about $39/month. Can someone talk me into taking this deal ?

Are there any trade-in deals for regular ONE plan users (not ONE Plus)? Also does anyone know if Costco/T-Mobile is still doing the $75 shop card for upgrading a phone?
They were a week ago at ours.... but there were bettwr offers from even samsung themselves sonid check around befoee doing that. Sometimes even just selling is better than trading in

Yeah ours does the netflix too. 156 for 4 lines and the highest netflix tier. Wouldnt join one of these new plans. Love my ultra 20 and dont want to "upgrade" to a phone that took away the sd slots

I will probably call in the next day or two but honestly most people on here and Reddit seem to know more than T-Mobile representatives in my experience, so I will ask here.

If we are on a plan like regular magenta (not max), do we get a Costco cash card by doing an upgrade? In the past it was $75, I don't know if that still exists?
Did someone answer your question?

I went to the Costco kiosk on preorder day last week… she told me the benefit for my legacy plan is (1) the normal trade in value for my phone… which is not a "benefit" since she called it "normal" lol, (2) no $35 activation fee for Costco members, and (3) a $75 Costco gift card for upgrading through the kiosk.

Seemed like a better deal to be overall since us SCNA legacy folks really don't have any options otherwise.

I have a One plan with 7 lines - a bunch of them free - with Netflix, etc. Pay $160/mo all included. Not the craziest 12-line deal, but I'm still pretty sure switching to Go5G will cost me WAAAY more.

I'll stick to my current plan for as long as I can. And T-Mo can screw themselves with their scammy attempts to lure their EXISTING customers into paying more for pretty much the same service.

No one answered it, but yes i got the $75 shop card offer. The card is supposed to be automatically mailed to me after 3mos.

What price increase? Tell me you don't know without telling me you don't know.
I'm on the one plan. If I try to switch my plan the price for my service goes up. How do I know? I've gone in to a store location for something different and asked what my bill would switch to. Both times I've been told to keep my existing plan because it would be cheaper

Not a single phone promo. But if you have a large account where everyone is going to want phone upgrades every 2 to 3 years, then it's totally worth it.
