Can I call and do this?
I believe this is only for the T-Mobile kiosk in the store. Not sure if you're even able to call the kiosk in the store. T-Mobile has a different offer online and via phone.

Here is my experience from calling the Tmobile number 833-428-1765 from the costco website.
Trade in on my I12 64gb would be $190. Probably pass on the trade and try to sell on my own.
My phones are paid and clear, not tied to any billing plan or credits.

My price for I15 128gb would be $830 divided into 24 months of $34.59 or I could just pay it all off.
They are giving me $350 off the retail price for upgrading.

The benefit of switching with the person on the phone instead of going to costco was that he would waive the $35 upgrade fee? But I have been reading and it was the opposite if you go into the store they would waive the $35 fee, probably a tactic to upgrade with him?

The other benefit was the $75 costco shop card that I can get per each line I upgrade.

I was not interested in switching my Magenta 1.0 responder plan that I pay $106 for 4 lines and netflix HD so I am not getting any free phones.

Whatcha all think ? The way I see it is you want a free phone then they make you go to the new plans but those plans are almost double what I am currently paying so that don't make sense ??
How do you know you are getting the $75 Costco shop card? Did you provide your Costco membership #? Did you receive any written confirmation of the $75 shop card? Thx

I am on Magenta with 4 lines (2 Paid + 2 Free)
Paid 2 line = $120 - 20% Insider Hookup discount ($24) = $96

When i contact customer service, They say, If i upgrade to any of the Go5G plan, i can still retain the 2 free lines, insider hookup discount and auto pay discount.

So for total 4 lines (2 paid + 2 free)

Go5G Upgrade = $130 - 20% Insider Hookup discount ($26) = $104

Go5G Plus Upgrade = $150 - 20% Insider Hookup discount ($30) = $120

Has anyone upgraded with a free line on their account to Go5G? Is the full amount for the free lines credited after upgrade? Can i believe the customer service and upgrade to Go5G? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
Yes, I did upgraded 3 months ago to Go5G Plus from Magenta Max 2 paid lines + 2 free lines and 20% insider discount. Monthly bill is 120$ (with auto pay). Previously was 112$.

Like someone else above stated - not sure what all the complaining is about with the pricing of these plans. Most people legacy T-Mobile people who have 50 year old plans from "back in the day" feeling slighted.

These "ridiculously expensive" plans are cheaper than Verizon and AT&T. So maybe not a good deal for existing customers on old plans, but a great deal for new customers.
Yep, exactly. Folks are on old T-Mobile plans coupled with various deals they acquired over the years (insider program, free lines added etc) are complaining. The T-Mobile deals for new customers are usually better than Verizon or ATT.

Maybe a good deal if you have multiple lines but for a single line these plans suck, as do any postpaid from the big 3. Single line plans have to use alternate carriers or MVNOs to get fair deals and use other promotions to get phones. But $105 a month is ridiculous and overpriced for monthly wireless service for customers regardless of new or old
Yes single line users are always screwed in postpaid. Gotta combine lines for a bulk discount postpaid or go MVNO

Moving 3 lines with 11Pro trade in from Verizon to T-mobile's 5G Plus plan:
Offered 120$ for 3 lines (including 20% off + auto pay)
2 lines getting 400$ combined credit and 3rd line getting 150$
all activation line fees waived
each of 11Pro gets 1000$ trade in value

That's what the rep said. No membership number was asked nor given, we did not get that far in the process. No written confirmation. I suppose you can go to a Costco store or call that number to confirm.

Seriously, I would have to pay more than twice my current monthly fees for basically the same service, minus the Netflix and miscellaneous perks. So w/o phone deals for legacy plans, my family members keep their phones for 3-4 years and just pay the regular price for a new flagship phone (minus whatever small discount we can get during the holiday). Not tied to any EIP crap, which by the way is like 36 months now
Idk about the same service. I have the ONE plan and I feel like my data is deprioritized. I'll always have full bars but data doesn't actually work meanwhile my friends right next to me on T-Mobile their data works just fine. I went down this rabbit hole where T-Mobile would blame apple chips and Apple would blame T-mobile and now I'm fed up it still happens with the iPhone 15 pro max so I'm deciding to get Rid of my legacy plan and just pay the stupid $90/ month for a line for my data to work.

If you want to compare , I pay $176 for 10 lines for everything unlimited with SC plan on T-Mobile. I don't get Netflix though.
Magenta Max here, 8 lines 3 free, $165 ish per month without current device loan. I don't think upgrade with new iPhone is a deal, and I'll shop for iPhones if needed. Unless Tmobile offers some deal for current plan owner, I'll stop upgrading through Tmobile starting this year.

Long time ago, you go ask every Tmobile employee. They get 2 discounts, 1 is for current users, which is more valuable. Other is for new users, which is more available at that time.

I estimate your bill on Go5G Plus would be $10 or $15 more a month?

$15 x 24months = $360

5 free iphones = $5000(credits over 24mo)

Hmm...
