Yes except for insiders and free lines. Btw if ur getting an insider do not go 55 because the free lines make regular plus cheaper only do 55 if ur doing 2 lines max

I just noticed the new fine print says the virtual $250 cards can only be used at Costco or t-mobile, up until last month cards didn't have this restriction and they were MasterCards instead of VISA
Don't see no one mentioning this here

Yeah after I submitted my comment I looked it up and came across the same info, surprised no one has mentioned this. At best this has become $400 Costco cash card ($250 only being able to use online) and at worst $250 annoying t-mobile credit

I'm not an expert when it comes to tmobile but I believe this is how they're planning to force people out of those plans. Basically people who use big cellphone providers like to get "free" or extremely discounted devices through them and the way I see it you won't be able to if you're using one of those old plans

It's 2023, there's absolutely no reason to be paying +$50 for one line of cellphone service but people still do it because hey, I got a "free" phone/they financed me one

A T-Mobile rep in Costco near me told me the insider discount is not available to existing customers even when upgrading the account from Amplified to Go 5G Plus. It can only be applied to new customers. Is that correct? based on this thread, I thought many SDers have been able to get insider discount when upgrading their account? can someone pls confirm.


Rep's advice was to leave T-Mobile and come back after 90 days to take advantage of all port-in credit and deals, and also get insiders discount.

Additionally, what is annoying is that Work discount can not be applied with other discounts (free lines promotions) I have. It doesn't make sense at all if customers can get better price and discounts without work perk. I don't see how anyone would like to go down the route of getting work perk.
