Not a bad deal. The V6 is the newer model, and the V5 is marked down to $320 at most retailers. With this deal, you would get the newer model for $10 more than what the V5 is going for. I have the V5 Shift and LOVE it. While there aren't many upgrades or changes, it's still a solid model and works fantastic.

Have been looking exactly into this item. Unfortunately just found a screaming deal on a v5 shift. Decisions decisions.

What's the screaming deal for the v5?

Probably something from Craigslist/FB marketplace, they've been listed near me for around $150-200 range for the most part

With things like this I realized I don't want something used especially given that they are largely dependent on how well someone takes care of them and could have water damage. The v6 has enhanced water protection so a better long term investment especially thru Costco.

What makes this worth this price? You can generally find high quality 1000+ yard rangefinders for under $200

I have the same question. I have a Vortex rangefinder that has a lifetime warranty that covers any damage or malfunction. I have some other Bushnell optics that are fine, but don't believe their warranty is as good...

I thumbed this up strictly because I'm a golf addict.

The deal itself is kind of....meh...

I've found that most lasers operate pretty much the same way. Point and get an accurate number. Some may have better range and optics but very few are worth $300 anymore.

I use mine primarily for par 3's and approach shots, so a 500 yard range is overkill.

Thanks OP.

Yeah, I'm not sure. I have an older Sig Kilo that's been awesome. It ranges out to 1600 yards on "reflective surfaces" which is generally anything with a paint job or sheen. It should do flags under 1000 yards just fine. Is also has all the same angle sensors and range modifications. I think I paid $150 for it serval years back.

Bushnell themselves sell a 1700 yard rangefinder that is on sale for $150 right now.

Even this one is cheaper if you buy it directly. $299

Gonna have to disagree, especially when comparing Bushnell and Nikon against the market. The difference is the accuracy at first shot. Then accuracy of measured slope.

I've had the cheaper models like blue tees, Callaway 300 pro, and currently the nx9 pro. All fine but my buddies Bushnell is accurate on the first shot. Very noticeable on the distance with slope. I can laser it 3x and get 3 different distances (with slope).
