If you're getting a new pair because of joystick drift, you can just buy a GuliKit Hall Effect joystick replacement kit from a certain international website for $15. I did the switch with my original joycons.

If you just wanna get a new set of joycons for other reasons, this is a good deal.

FYI, Nintendo extended their warranty on joycons because of the stick drift issue. I just sent mine off last week. They mailed back a brand new pair.

It was super easy, just fill out a warranty form on their website and they'll send you a label.

Yes, these can be used as a 3rd and 4th controller. If you have any other two joycons (e.g., the two that came with the switch) and these two, you can have 4 people playing at the same time on most multiplayer games (e.g., I've done it with MarioKart, Smash Bros, etc.). See Reddit [reddit.com] for a sample list. Not sure if there's an official one somewhere.

I am tempted to downvote this just because this product is a piece (2 pieces) of junk. I have never had any controller break this fast on any console and I have been playing since Atari. I have my switch for 4+ years and I am on my 3rd pair.

Similar for me. All 4 of my joycons had drift (2 had already been repaired, so it was the second time for them). I sent them all in and got them back in 6 days for free. They gave me 2 new joycons and repaired the other 2.
