If you're getting a new pair because of joystick drift, you can just buy a GuliKit Hall Effect joystick replacement kit from a certain international website for $15. I did the switch with my original joycons.

If you just wanna get a new set of joycons for other reasons, this is a good deal.

FYI, Nintendo extended their warranty on joycons because of the stick drift issue. I just sent mine off last week. They mailed back a brand new pair.

It was super easy, just fill out a warranty form on their website and they'll send you a label.

Thank U. I was looking for info to send in my kids joycons. All 4 have a drift. SMH. Less than 5 yrs old.

Amazon reviews say it's a super tight fit and seems like it's going to break. I would go original Nintendo.

They're $20 shipped on Amazon for those that don't want to wait.

I ended up replacing the sticks on my children's 2 sets of joycons as I was really tired of shipping them out. No issues in 13 months whereas I was shipping them out every 5-8 months throughout the past 5 years. Worth every penny.

Stupid question from someone who only has the original ones that came with the console... what is the easiest way to charge more than 2 joy cons? Just swap out on the switch after a while? Seems like a pain.

I'm in the same boat waiting to see if the online deal will run till at least Sunday to get 5% from Chase Freedom.

If the online deal doesn't last, it may be worth checking out your nearest warehouse (also priced at $65) hoping they'll honor the price till they clear stock. My local one has plenty, though limited colors. I suspect these won't get scooped up like the recent $30 TotK deal.

I was wondering the same being new to the switch. There seems to be a lot of charging docks on Amazon for $10-15 that can charge 4 joycons at once. Some can even dock the console too.

For now, it's rare I'd use more than 2 joycons at a time so I may just resort to what you said and swap them out to charge every now and then 😅

Those will end up getting drift as well. The hall effect ones are the ones you want.

Have the original Black controllers, but I don't see that as an available color option on the form....??

EDIT: Nintendo rep said they're actually GRAY.

The PowerA charging dock is the Nintendo-licensed charger and it's usually available under $20. You can save a few bucks on an unlicensed dock but I didn't want to risk it considering the non-Nintendo system docks bricked so many Switches and the controllers are problematic enough to start.

For those without Costco membership- Amazon has the pink/green for $68.45 at the moment and if you have Prime Visa it's $65, like Costco.

Although the intention behind Nintendo's exchange program is good, it's not a good deal if you have special edition joy-cons, because Nintendo might just send you the black/gray joy-cons as replacement.
