Note that the bracelet on these is folded links, which is big boo. I haven't expected that from Citizen... You are paying for a throwaway piece actually. There are a few variants of this watch with plastic straps that are usually $20 cheaper on sale, and you can get yourself a decent nylon/silicone band later.

It's not for lefties. The crown is on the left on purpose so it doesn't interfere with your hand/wrist if you were actually to use this as a dive watch. It's a functional design element. Kind of cool in my opinion.

Is Citizen worth the extra money? You can get an Invicta Automatic Pro Diver for half the cost of this. Mine has held up for over a decade. I do not dive though.

The quality of the watch is likely noticeably better than the invicta. This is an actual dive watch. This is in the same class as seiko divers. Nothing wrong with the invicta, but its essentially a rolex knockoff/homage. I have some version of the invicta diver, but I wouldn't put it up against the seikos/citizens. My invicta's bezel, for example is very hard to rotate.

The Japanese divers are popular for good quality and designs that don't simply imitate swiss brands

I'm not saying you are wrong about the quality but this watch also seems to be a Rolex knock off since it looks just like the Invicta.
