Model SM-S536DL, once unlocked, can be used on other carriers if they have whitelisted this model. AT&T have not, so it won't work on AT&T or its MVNOs.
This model is very locked down, so you cannot root, bootloader unlock, or use ODIN to replace the ROM. You can use ADB to uninstall any bloat apps.
About 1 Year Tracfone Service (Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text, & 24 GB Data)
* 365 days of Tracfone Service running off Verizon's network
* Unlimited Talk
* Unlimited Text
* 24 GB data for entire year. If you use up all 24 GB data early, you will still have service for the remaining time, just no data until you buy more data from Tracfone
Service is preloaded to the SIM (usually preinstalled in the phone). Activate the SIM / IMEI on Tracfone.com to activate the phone and service. Once the phone is activated (by activating the SIM / IMEI), the 60 day unlock counter starts.
Other Tracfone family phones can be activated on the plan for service and unlocking as well.

Since the plan came with the phone, you will have a very hard time getting your plan back. They always want to see when you last BOUGHT the plan.
Why didn't they just fix it in the first place? You're correct they just don't care about fixing the problem once it falls outside whatever script they have. Any sort of common sense/logic falls on deaf ears. Their goal isn't to help you at this point, but make you give up through whatever means possible. The best recourse IS an informal FCC complaint which is very much free and was extremely effective for me.
Tracfone CSR is so horrible it should be criminal.

Seems pretty easy to prove your losses, since the losses you incur is very much given.
If people only think about is too expensive to fight injustice, the future just gonna be worse, and likely even harder to fight. Injustice is like a weed. Is a pain to pull it off, but you don't do it because is a pain to pull it off, and leave it, if you finally decide to do in the future, is gonna be a much harder pain than if you had pull it out in its infancy.
I'm more interested how much you got for your unlocked A53s. PM me if you want.
Back on this deal, I'm pretty sure this A53 + unlimited plan is a MM if SDer sells the A53 after unlocking it and gets to use an unlimited plan for another 10 months as well.
You could probably make some money flipping these, but not much. Not worth it to me if I have to wait 60 days for them to unlock. I don't know what the unlimited plan would be worth, but I guess you wouldn't need the phone to be unlocked if you could sell them as a bundle.
If you can use the plan on a different phone, then that would be a decent deal, as it would basically be free service for 10 months. If you're adventurous, you might be able to transfer the Unlimited plan to a different phone on Day One, then reactivate the A53 with a cheap 60-day plan just for unlocking purposes. I have no ideal if this would work, though.
I've used them to activate phones that I never intended to use. For unlocking purposes, it's easier just to get the $20 90-day plan.

Even if they don't appeal, most people using TracFone are poor, no way they have $5k laying around
