I then login to my EPP account and then logged into my samsung account.
I then added the S23 Ultra 256GB to cart and chose the S22 Ultra as trade
I then clicked Continue (not checking the Tablet bundle).
At the Checkout screen, I then go back and add the Tab S9 Ultra and add the Tab S8 as trade.
I then proceed to checkout and all discounts stick making the Tab S9 Ultra $0.00.
Hope this helps.
This seems like a really good deal for folks who only have a Tab S8 or S8+ and wanted a Tab S9 Ultra.
For me, I've been happy with my S22Ultra 256GB but I'm hoping the S23Ultra has a better battery life.

Thankfully, I was taxed after the promo price so my OTD came out $437 for S23U 256gb+Tab S9U 512GB+Buds2 Pro. Trading in S22U 128gb and S7FE 64gb.
Guess I dug myself deeper into the android ecosystem, since this high end stuff may not be that easy to sell 2nd hand in the future. Or if I trade it in to Samsung I'll essentially at some point be paying MSRP for whatever it is down the road (and that 2nd point is something I don't think people think about, when they get into the trade-in loop, as you lose track of how much you have actually paid out of pocket to date by rolling one device into another).

Or you can learn other ways to make money, so stuff like this will be negligible.
I am in the same boat but s7, and I still traded in both s7 and s22u to get the s9u and s23u for $350. cant beat the deal

Main improvement gen to gen was a better screen and better chip with a smaller node that results in more energy efficiency. You should see the same on the S23 ultra.

Ended up cancelling my order, as going from a S22+ and S8, to S23 Ultra and S9 Ultra, doesn't really seem worth ~$400 more.
Never had issues with trade ins to Samsung, but I've never also had $2k+ riding on them not messing it up either.
Thanks OP!

My S22u is 128gb and that's the main reason it needs to go. Can't record too many UHD videos, let alone have my music library local. I need my phone to make videos.

I would generally be up for selling the tablet and maybe even the phone, but I moved from an area that had a population of like 2 million to now 300k.
And the S23U apparently has a curved screen, which after having a Pixel 2 XL and older Samsung Galaxy phones, I'm not doing ever again.
But yeah, I can see why you'd want to go from a phone with 128GB to double that, and essentially get the upgrade for free (after selling the tablet).
Price before tax was $375, which sounds amazing... unfortunately in CA, we get taxed on the pre-discount amount, so it was just over $500... and with only 3% CB instead of 10%, its not as great of a deal
also a bit unhappy about the free 512gb going away just a day or two ago..
not sure if i should go for this or wait until nov.. hmm
I just re-did my order but ordered the Blue S23Ultra 128GB and I'm still not having any issues replicating this deal.
This time around I paid using my Chase through Paypal (which should give 5% cashback) + the "me-not" 10% cashback. I hope my 10% cashback comes through
