I wonder if this would be a good way to add PC pinball games to my legends pinball machine.

What real world applications would someone use this for? It seems under powered for some uses and over spec'd for others.

Web/FTP server?
This thing screams plex server due to having quicksync. Actually another user asked about Home Assistant. I woukd recommend running proxmox on this and virtualize a VM for Home Assistant with 2 cores and 4gb ram. Then create a container instead of a VM for a Plex Server with 8gb ram. You can probably even load a few small containers in addition.

For $180, you can buy an optiplex with an 8th Gen i5 off of eBay. Later on you can slap a cheap video card in it and have a decent PC. Even better you get a 1 year warranty.

Tons of videos on YouTube of people doing this.

The only reason I can see people buying these are for niche purposes.
Or repurpose an older laptop 2016 or later...

Yeah the reason I ordered one was because it was cheap and uses less than 10 watts. I want to use it as a cryptocurrency miner that's going to be generating $0.50-$1 a day in crypto.
What crypto you mined

Could you really use one of these web browser pcs for a energy efficient crypto miner? Links please
Yeah with Fry [fryscryptoexcursions.com] they have several BYOD (bring your own device) licenses that they sell or you can buy a miner from them to earn their tokens. Right now ive purchased a bandwidth miner from them and an indoor satellite miner from them but I wasnt very happy with the devices that they sent me because they send people recycled electronics that would normally get sent to landfills as part of their "green initiative" to reduce electronic waste sent to landfills... the problem with this is that the miners that they send have really low specs, hard drive space, sometimes they dont even have hdmi ports, and they take several months to ship them out because they ship them in batches so I wanted to try to get a low powered pc like this one that only uses less than 10 watts and costs less than $200 per pc to try going the BYOD license route and see how that goes for me. Dont get me wrong im still keeping the bandwidth and indoor satellite miners that I purchased from them because their still earning me tokens every day that I quickly swap for USDT but for all future miners in their ecosystem I plan to go the BYOD route.

If you look at their "shop" dropdown menu they list all the different types of miners in their ecosystem, how many tokens each miner earns every day, and the limit of how many miners you can have for each type per address. If you put in the amount of tokens earned per day into coin gecko's calculator you can see how much revenue you can earn per day. I dont recommend buying a device from Fry's website at full price, usually if you YouTube search some reviews of their crypto on YouTube you can usually find crypto influencers with affiliate codes that give you like 20% to 40% off your order if you choose to buy a device directly from Fry's website. Agian I dont recommend it though because their really low spec and outdated machines and since orders get sent out in batches you might be waiting several months.

Obviously do your own research before apeing in though, its still a relatively new project with low liquidity. The company puts in a portion of the sales that they get into their liquidity pool so every device and license that they sell a portion of that sale goes into the liquidity pool.

Fry [fryscryptoexcursions.com] its a crypto on the algorand network, they have a token called Fry that you can see a price history for on either coin gecko [coingecko.com] or Vestige [vestige.fi].

Good choice for home assistant?
It would definitly work for home assistant. But if that's your main concern, then you should look at a Dell or HP micro PC.. also known as 1L ( One Liter) design. They're about the size of a Mac Mini and you can get them refurbished on Ebay for less than 100.
A dell 7050 Micro Form Factor (MFF) with a 7500T processor can be bought for as low as $80. And it has the same processing power.
A dell 7060 MFF would be 100+ .. and has much better speed with 6 cores.

Would be great for a low powered Linux desktop. Like for kids, old folks, or a convenience computer somewhere like the garage.

It also has enough ram you could pack it full of docker containers. There are plenty of useful ones out there like Pi Hold and AdGuard, Owncloud, etc.

Would be great for Home Assistant or a NAS if you don't mind USB storage. Video specs on the n100 look good for Plex or media center applicatons.

Not sure how these might do with Proxmox. Might be decent for a little home lab.

please don't listen to this comment, customizing dell or hp or any other prebuilt systems with a GPU is nothing but a pain. You'll deal sketchy adapters, incompatible psus and ultimately a dead end.

After I responded to confirm the order closure, I remained silent for three consecutive days and did not respond to the refund progress. This is a thief company, and your company's cooperation with them will greatly damage your credibility.
