I love the price on their small tanks but stay away from anything larger than ten gallons. Maybe they've addressed the problem since, but I saw this from ~2021 up to a tank in store just a few months ago. EDIT: Or don't stay away, but inspect them closely in the parking lot.

I still have some Aqueon tanks. One's half-full (for frogs) and small. Another is holding a snake, very little weight in there and no water to leak. And the third is a ten gallon I use while cleaning other tanks. They're great for the money, imo - but inspect the seals before use.

My point is that maybe Aqueon does have a higher failure rate but if you do your standard leak test and it's not leaking from the start I find it hard to believe that it wasn't user error that lead to any leaks/cracks. I do believe that they're made cheaper than other tanks but most cases of leaks are probably from people not leveling out their tanks putting more pressure on possibly already weak seals.
