Typically this isn't a great deal, but for the people with the American Express Platinum who are using the $20 monthly credit for Audible, this might be useful.
Since the $20 monthly credit for Audible is going away on October 1st, some folks might be getting rid of a monthly Audible subscription. You lose all your credits if you do that, so you need to spend them beforehand.

I believe you lose your credits the moment you cancel membership. The 12 month timeline is if you maintain a membership, the credits you earn expire in 12 months. You are able to "pause" your membership for like 3 months.

I'm hoping it will be provided even if I don't have an active subscription. I'm basing that hope on the following passage from the T&C:
"Claim Codes recipients must have or open an Audible account to redeem Claim Codes."
It doesn't say an active subscription, just an account.

Thanks for checking that. I vaguely recall being able to use a dollar credit without an active subscription so hoping it is the same with this promotion.

They routinely have $99 to $150 yearly subscription for premium plus (12 credits at once). I tried to cancel my membership and they offered 6 credits for $49.99 which I took. I listen to their free audible premium titles a lot too so it's kinda like watered down kindle unlimited membership for six months, but with some pretty decent titles.
