Got this from the Apple store for the same price on release day. After nearly a year, I feel a bit of regret I didn't get the regular iPad instead. I mainly use iPads for media consumption, and don't notice any performance differences or much of a screen difference from the iPad 9. I do like the USB C, but the battery in the Air doesn't last nearly as long as the iPad. The fancy screen in it is also super expensive to fix, so be sure to get Apple Care with it.

So, it's a great tablet, but unless you're going to use the Pencil or do some PC-type work on your Air, I'd stick with the regular iPad.

Yeah, this is an irksome game Apple likes to play. 128gb would be the sweet spot, but why offer that when you can goose sales with a 256gb model.

Got one last week, thrilled with it. M1 is great and so is battery life, 64gb more than enough for casual use (just don't store your full sized iCloud pics on there). The one thing though is everyone eventually buys a pencil and a keyboard case so there's a hidden couple hundred bucks tacked on you don't really think about initially. At least if you are looking at the decent cases.
