Not true at all, I've received fakes to the point of things being misspelled and ink wiping off. Unfortunately, all items of a particular UPC that are shipped from Amazon are stored together, so fakes can slip in

A couple years ago you would be correct. I am no amazon lover, I don't have prime and try to buy from other retailers over amazon. However amazon has started curating their fragrance offerings separately from other sellers. I know this for a fact. To go along with your point I would NEVER buy a fragrance from a 3rd party seller on Amazon.

While I have been using ADG for last 5 years, people cannot tell difference between this and Parfums Belcam G - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Parfums-Belcam-G-Eau-Eau-de-Toilette-Cologne-for-Men-3-4-Oz/17177150?athb... [walmart.com]
