I bought some of their cables earlier this year and they are all terrible quality. They will not work to charge most devices even from a high quality power source.

I thought that the deal is the same one I have. Mine is 100W rated and USB2.0 data transfer. I use it only for charging purposes (for my Dell laptops, iPhone, and Samsung phones) and works well. Here is the link to mine.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1

It is $6.99 for 1 cable, 10ft.

Some people are complaining that this is USBC 2.0 charging only... Yeah it's two for six bucks... Of course it is.

Unless you see specific details saying otherwise it's safe to assume most lower cost USBC products are going to be 2.0, charging only.

You're not going to get full service USB 3.0 or thunderbolt for $3 each. So just seems like a strange complaint

Surprisingly, I have the USB-A to USB-C version of this brand that look the same and they are still working great and fast charging fine. I've had them for quite a long time now. I think these have been the best cheap cables I've bought.
They work okay for me. No complaints absolutely worth two for six bucks. Sometimes I'll just get regular charging speeds instead of fast charging speeds. It seems to be dependent on the phone. My LG phones will charge at fast but my Pixel phones won't charge rapidly.

Honestly it's like a distinction without a difference at this point. Rapid charging only saves you like 11 minutes over the course of an hour and a half.

I'm looking for reliable charging for a "down angle" USB-C head with a short port, so that it works well with devices like the Switch or Steam Deck.

Anyone know if "down angle" is the correct / universal term and/or a good cable for that?
I would say yes. Here is the wording (for a now unavailable item) for down angle USB C adapters:

"Cellularize USB C 90 Degree Adapter Right Angle (3 Pack) 40Gbps 240W Type C Up Down Male to Female Extender 8K@60Hz Video Thunderbolt 4/3 Data..."

Has anyone tried to use "Right Angle" charging cables in close quarters, like while seated on an airplane, bus, or train? Is that a better situation than just regular cables?

Got these back in July 2022 for $5.43 and been using them for my Nintendo switch and Samsung Galaxy S22U without any problems so far. In for another 2 pack as back ups lol.

Risk frying my USBC port on my expensive electronics? Aiiiinope!
Are there any reports of that happening with these cables or something?
