You can if you ask nicely. No one should care.

I was a waiter there long ago and I used to place multiple "refills" before the check would come and pack them up to go depending on the customer. Particularly college kids - I knew money was tight, being one myself at the time, and a bunch of leftovers would change my week quite a bit. That and they paid me like $3.50/hr. Darden restaurant bottom line was the least of my concerns.

No worries if you don't like this restaurant (I'm personally not the biggest fan) but please don't bash it too much as it's my 9 year old son's favorite place, so I'm sure there are many other OG lovers out there too... both kids and adults alike

Happy eating!

As hilarious a concept as "increasingly smaller" would be, every 'refill' is the same size, essentially a half-portion.

Any issue you have with this deal is store specific, the one I go to is great about refills. They even take your next order when delivering one. The want to turn the table over faster, not slow roll your refills.
Oh, because I remember first a large plate, then a smaller plate, then a bowl. Smilie

I don't know what I figured that would cost, but I'm a little shocked that $14 is a good deal.

Exactl my point above, except that I have stopped tipping at places like Starbucks and counter service restaurants or similar. The tipping culture at sit-down restaurants goes back quite far and there should be a slow change maybe by starting to tip less and less. But understand that for these servers who accepted the low-ball wages did so because of the existing tipping culture in America. Don't let their kids and families go hungry because they are really doing all the work while the restaurant owners are making the money.
Yeah, it's gotten pretty ridiculous with the tipping thing filtering out to Starbucks and other places like that which pay a regular wage. However, it's often the employees who want to get in on the tipping action, rather than the businesses when it comes to non-tipped employees. For instance, it was Starbucks union employees who demanded that the company add tipping screens for everyone paying by credit card at checkout and the company resisted. And they already pay pretty well for a place that's generally more of an entry-level job for high-schoolers and college students. I think their starting pay is $15 / hour and higher at some places with a high cost of living. Sure, that may not be a "feed the family" wage, but it's always been kind of expected that people move onto more skilled employment at some point before taking on responsibilities like starting a family.

Yep. That's the only way I'll do this. The toppings are too expensive now.

Interesting, I never thought about that comparison. 🤔 nice. I haven't been to a golden coral in many many years but interesting enough to check it out.
$16.99 at the Golden C. For adults. And 3.49 a drink.

No thanks, tipping has ruined the dining experience.
You do not need to tip ..... it is automatically added to the bill along with the extra fee to cover employee health insurance. EEK! Even some fast food wants you to add a tip or fee to carry it out. It is like my energy bill ... energy cost $98.00 Transmission fee $189.00 and taxes/fees $67.78. Those fees and tips really leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

NVM. I just called my local location. It's $13.99 per person. And at my location it actually starts at $14.99. Also you can share it, but then it won't be never ending. So basically pay for a single order to share or pay per head.
It is mesmerizing you would call and ask them if it is per person.

Pretty good deal but you're limited by how many times your server comes around. Sure you could stay as long as you want, but they're not coming by every 5 mins to see if you want another plate. Realistically, you're only getting 3 - 5 refills in a normal dining time period. And the plates are not as large as a typical full entree there. Please, always be kind to your waiters and servers. And 20% tip is customary in most of the US now.
I wouldn't come to your table too if you finished your meal in 5 mins 😂

only 5 refills 😂

Hmm. So $3 more and you get access to steak, chicken, and desert? Thanks. Makes it easier to decide

I'd say this is probably one of the best deals, assuming you actually like some of those meals. You don't see many sales on the pricier meals. The extra $5 for toppings (meatballs, Italian sausage, shrimp, grilled or crispy chicken) actually makes it pretty good. And you can usually get refills of just the toppings as well.

Also, keep in mind that Olive Garden cards should be able to be used at some other restaurants as well. According to Amazon' Olive Garden GC listing …

Darden Restaurants gift cards can be redeemed at any Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, or Yard House in the U.S. I think they're all interchangeable, regardless of which restaurant is on the front of the card.
Only thing slick about this is the unlimited toppings for 5 to $9.

That is if you can finish the plates to get to the next one.....or bring a service dog 🐶 under the table
