Must take into account some people are dumb and wreck non stick pans then blame the pan instead of themselves.
Induction heating requires a magnetic material (iron/steel).
this is aluminum. don't buy if you have induction.

I'm in the market for a non-stick pan and this one is the American's test kitchens recommendation. In for one, thanks!

most recent reviews seem to say the coating doesn't hold up too well...

Do these need to be replaced every year like the regular Teflon NS pans? What's the advantage over these pans vs the regular NS pans?

Evey nonstick pan needs to be replaced once it lost its coating which on regular uses, lasts about a year.

Cast iron? Basically last forever only downside is weight. Works with induction too.

Lodge Cast Iron Skillet with Red Silicone Hot Handle Holder, 10.25-inch https://a.co/d/62CMnge
Lodge makes a 10.25 Bakers skillet with 2 assist handles that's lighter in weight. I just bought one. It's 4.14 lbs vs the same size skillet with long hande is 5.35 lbs.

I bought one of the 10" pans in May when there was a great deal, and this has become my favorite non-stick pan ever. After four months of constant use, the coating is still like new and washes up very easily with hand washing. I've never once felt the need to put it in the dishwasher.

The 8" would be a little on the small side for my purposes. The 10" isn't quite big enough for some tasks. If the 12" was on a better sale, I'd snap it up.
