Yes, it is on sale for $49.99 if you look at the Costco in-warehouse savings book.

I had this heater, may be my home is dustier than the rest of the world. After a year or so of using it, the heater started giving off burning smell every time I turned it on.

Got a couple of these for $50 in store last year and have been happy with them. They do cause lights to dim on startup where other heaters have not so must draw max power to start. But they're virtually silent even through on/off/low/high cycles with the temp set so perfect for running in bedroom at night. One of them did start making a low whining noise so may need to exchange that.

Does anyone know, how is the Presto heater compared to this one, other than of course the price?

The initial draw is harsh, would love to plug a kill-a-watt and see how much energy these use. I work from home 2 days a week and don't need to heat up the whole house, just a tiny room.

It draws 1,500 watts on High; at 115v, 13 amps.
Personally, I like the (UGLY) oil-filled radiator versions. No artificial breezes, zero fan noise, and like a flywheel up to speed, heat radiation continues when the heating elements shut off.

Google

Radiant heat vs convection heat.

Vornado has a timer, remote, fan.... that should get you started.

I was asking for personal recommendations, not google reviews.

Maybe I could've been more clearer, but you could've easily skipped to respond to my query instead of that kind of response.

Thanks, but no thanks.
Geesh, I don't think it was that personal. The heat dish you posted is radiant heat and the OP space heater is convection heat. You definitely should research the differences and decide whether radiant or convection is most appropriate for your use case, rather than try to compare a heat dish to a space heater ("apples to oranges").

I didn't take it personally, I was responding in the same way that person responded. That's all.
If someone asks, on a discussion board mind you, a valid question, and the response is to "google it", that is basically crass.

As a matter of fact, your response is way better and I would've much preferred it.

I too like the oil-filled heaters for the same reasons:
Heat, turn off and the heated oil radiates heat for a long time.
I occasionally see them on CL for free, I have 3 for free.
My tiny office at home stays warm all day with one oil-heater.

Now add an on/off timer for a Warm Welcome in the morning.

There are numerous of reviews telling that those fans fail after 90 day return period. Never dealt with Costco regarding warranty issues before, but heard many stories that people return almost everything from 6 year matress to 3 year old vacuum they used in their AirBnB. However I read that Costco offers 2 year return policy. Could someone please clarify how all these rules/policies work at Costco? If I buy this fan and it would faild after 90 days would I still be able to return it for refund or exchange?

Appreciate if some SD friend helps to understand all this important things!
