It really will be the best all around headset on the market and that doesn't even cover the boom of MR games that are going to come with this. All of us are rushing to make games for this emerging market. $499 ain't a bad price.

Once they have Oled screens (grayish "black" LCD ruins immersion in a lot of games), HDR, Headset haptic feedback, and Eye tracking with foveated rendering it will be an even fight.
But PSVR2 is king for gamers right now, especially since devs have already begun (sadly) focusing less on PCVR and more on Meta headsets and PSVR2.
Not most people.

Asking for my wife.
Value wise, there is a lot more here for your money than there was for $400 Quest 2 128GB.
Plus Meta is shifting to a sustainable biz model. I suspect they're possibly breaking even on cost with the Quest 3 vs losing tens of billions with the Quest 2 by selling it for below cost.

Anyone have some ideas on how to flip it? Do people actually buy these used or?

PSVR2 also has a bit of a limited set of games so far. A few carryovers from PSVR1, a few new titles, but not many must haves. Hoping that changes in the near future. I'd love if they added VR content to existing games, no matter how small. A VR viewer for cyberpunk would be awesome.

It seems weird to buy something that people have been strapping to their heads and sweating in, especially post(?)-covid.
The controllers alone seem to sell for at least $100. The headset combo jumps around in price between about $150-200, likely depending on condition and what's included. Piecing it out might honestly be the bigger payout. Left controller, right controller, headset as 3 separate sales
