I feel like someone at corporate screwed up by putting these food items to 75% off before summer even went to 75% off.

I haven't seen yet today if clearance is back to full price, at 75% or at 90%, but it has been widely reported that managers were not expecting summer stuff to go to 90% this year. Personally I'd be thrilled to find 90%, but I'm not expecting it.
I also saw some comments about some stores cracking down on people with multiple cards. I don't know how much this will affect each of us, but a couple of comments from one post might warrant your consideration.
The individual commented that now only the manager on duty could price modify/price match items. This suggests to me that CVS sees customers who are constantly asking for a price modify/match as impacting time they could/should be focusing on other things. (And just for the record, I have read enough on other sites to know CVS didn't intend to provide price matches on EVERY product to their website. They added that for stores to be able to appease customers who are unhappy.)
Evidently, the employee also said each customer was limited to one transaction per day. If you're doing your transactions at SCO, the number of transactions you're doing won't generally impact their ability to focus on other things.
Again, I don't know who among us might be impacted by this renewed discussion of multiple cards, but maybe we each need to think about how much of a 'burden' we are in our couponing to the employees at our stores. Personally, I have not yet asked my stores to use the price match and have probably done 99% of my transactions at SCO in the last 30 days. Here's hoping that's enough to keep my extra card(s) safe until I'm ready to put them on the shelf!

Didn't we already have talks about them trying to limit cards? I have asked my manager and supervisors about it and they said they have not heard anything. I gotta mention, I am on good terms with my store. I don't do back to back transactions unless there's noone behind me. I admit, i have done a few PMs to online. But funny thing, one of the supervisors told me they got a new feature. I don't think i've been a "burden" to my store employees.

There was a corporate memo that came down not too long ago. I don't know if there's another memo, if some stores have just decided to put a focus on this recently, or what. But within the last 24 hours there have been multiple posts on other sites about stores commenting regarding limiting multiple cards again.
