These boxes have to come with a pair of pliers to pull the bits out.

Looks like they've improved on the design, it's no longer open in the middle between the hinges where it could pinch fingers Stick Out Tongue

I think you referred to the old design box. This is new design; much easier to get the bits out.

Maybe, I've got mine about a year ago. I should probably try one of the newer boxes.

I asked this last time to no avail.
Is this actually a good deal if it goes in sale this much? I could use some bits but not urgent if end of year brings better deals.

the 60 piece and 45 piece are better deals imo.

there are much less redundant bits and both of those have the 6" extension which is like $9 by itself. this extension is not in the 100pc at all.

i saw this thread last time as well and someone mentioned their HD had the 45 piece in stock for like $20 in store... didn't show online but i was on my way to HD anyway and i picked it up. happy with it over this. i dont really break shit so i dont need multiples of all those bits.

You can never have too many straight (slot) bits, because who knows…one day you might want to use one!
