Never used Makita bits, but man, these Milwaukee Shockwave bits I've used (I own a larger set) have been hands down the best bits I've ever used, and it honestly doesn't even feel very close. I have a big, nice set of impact bits from DeWalt too, and it's a great set - but they just kind of sit there, because I go to the Milwaukee ones every time. They somehow just feel better to use, and they work extremely well. They're fantastic.
