I don't see a pleat in any of the colors. I see the ironed crease in the front, which you might've mistaken for a pleat.
Reviews mentioned machine wash works fine on them
Also these pants have a significant amount of polyester which makes them pretty cheap feeling, although comfortbale. Amazon product page states both "hand wash only" and "machine washable" but I have machine washed these probably a dozen+ times with no issue. Gentle cycle + tumble dry is what I do for all of my dress pants that don't require dry cleaning.

Never saw quality dress pants in Walmart. Low quality .
Nobody noticed my wally pants with my other formal apparels ($$$$). And I don't have to be ultra careful wearing this, b/c I know I can replace it cheap.
