The only change Intel made from 12th to 13th gen, is in the HX series CPUs and that, only to few of the SKUs, mainly the i9 bariants. Here they simply doubled the number of E Cores from 8 to 16. But even the lower end HX series Processors, like i7-13700HX, is also exactly same as the 12800HX, with minor clock speed bump.
I can't comment on your personal preference but technically I can assure you that in this kind of laptop form factor, you won't be missing anything by opting for 12700H over a 13700H.

Question - anyone know if case is metal or plastic?
Thanks! Finally got the code. I'm still deciding too… this, or wait til Black Friday? Do you think there will be better deals on BF? I'm not in a huge rush but will need something by the end of the year.
I'd bite on this if it was 13th Gen processor even at $700. I just won't buy older gen out of a personal preference.

Gotcha. Thanks. I think I've been spoiled by the marketing gimmicks. Sounds like Intel went the Apple way, this time around. I'm no longer technically inclined, so didn't really bother to look up the differences. Tempting now, but waiting for better BF deals too.

Is this still a current issue?
