i wasn't trying to be mean. it's just a lot of money to spend on a tool you will likely not even be able to use. this is a 1/2" wrench. 1/2" impact sockets are VERY expensive. a working set of 1/2" sockets (that won't explode into pieces on you) is more expensive than the tool itself. if you try to adapt smaller sockets onto this tool you will lose a lot of power before your socket adapter inevitable snaps

I'm definitely not a troll and got HD to price match pretty easily. Did the text chat. Gave them the item #, hyperlink for the other place, screenshot of the item in my cart, and my zip code. Then added it to my HD cart and gave the rep my email address. They sent me a private checkout link and then emailed me a confirmation. Was pretty easy. I've been shopping 1/2s and was going to buy the Ryobi combo for $159 before I saw this so gave it a whirl and it took about 5 minutes in the chat. They would only price match if I did ship to home which wasn't an issue because HD shipping is super fast.

No luck with price match on HD chat. I sent the link for prodcut on Bombaars but no luck. They sent me generic reply "Thank you for this information. After checking this website, it is determined that this is not a valid price match, I'm so sorry! We have certain criteria we use to deem a price match valid. This price match is invalid because it does not meet the criteria for our discount policy." Frown

HD chat did NOT work for me. They first said yes but wanted me to place the order first and eventually (after the rep went to consult a supervisor) told me that since the vendor charges for shipping and HD ships for free, the carts do not match exactly and therefore HD cannot price match. They offered a $75 discount.

I will try again online and in-store and update here if I have different results. Upstate NY for reference.

I also wasn't charged sales tax but they don't have stores in Florida so that may be a factor for anyone curious. Home Depot was willing to price match but they have to charge sales tax so in the end it's a wash.

I'm about to try Home Depot price match, you said they asked for your zipcode, do you have a nearby Bomgaars? does it matter if you don't? I ask because I am nowhere nearby Bomgaars.

HD generally adds shipping charge to PM price, tax on top. Ofcourse, ymmv.
